La 60a edizione del Salone del Mobile.Milano: la (ri)partenza del presente con gli occhi puntati verso il futuro.

Sessant'anni vissuti nel nome, della qualità e dell'innovazione. E, oggi, più che mai, della responsabilità ambientale e sociale. Il Salone celebra un traguardo ma non si ferma: le nuove sfide riguardano una visione del sistema arredo necessariamente etico e consapevole - un design che sia capace di progettare condizioni e spazi di benessere, rifugio, inclusione.

Maria Porro, Presidente del Salone del Mobile sostiene che Milano è - finalmente e nuovamente - ai nastri di partenza. Si tratta di una sessantesima edizione che costruisce bellezza per una società alla ricerca di punti fermi e di (ri)partenza. Consapevole di dover essere un momento, un luogo e uno strumento per ragionare insieme sulle capacità generative del progetto e sul ruolo dell'intero sistema arredo, il Salone torna in presenza, nella sua forma più completa, riaffermando il valore dell'incontro, del confronto, del dialogo. È così che si (ri)attesta quale evento globale, perno di un sistema virtuoso che ha radici a Milano e in Italia ma si proietta in tutto il mondo, generando qualità, relazioni, opportunità di business e percorsi creativi che si riflettono positivamente sulla vita (e sull'abitare) di tutti noi. Sessant'anni, dunque, di prodotti di eccellenza, ma anche di design necessario e responsabile, che pone al centro l'uomo e la natura. Un'edizione, questa, costruita collettivamente intorno a fondamentali linee di riflessione e lavoro. "Spesso si costruiscono eventi intorno agli anniversari per renderli speciali e caricarli di significato. Oggi non ce n'è bisogno. La pandemia e lo scenario internazionale ci impongono una riflessione profonda sul senso di questa sessantesima edizione.

"Stiamo sperimentando nuovi modi di lavorare, viaggiare, abitare. Una quotidianità da ricostruire che ci sfida e che ci spinge a reinventarci. Un intero settore sta già lavorando per dare delle risposte su come gli spazi che viviamo debbano adattarsi ai cambiamenti. Questo Salone è finalmente l'occasione per condividerle. Per questo abbiamo voluto investire sulla forza espositiva e sulla dimensione internazionale per costruire un evento in cui tutti gli attori, le aziende, gli architetti, i giovani del Salone_Satellite, i relatori dei talk tematici, si possano esprimere al meglio in un progetto collettivo. Il 27% dei nostri espositori è straniero, attendiamo migliaia di visitatori da Europa, Stati Uniti e Canada, ma anche da Arabia Saudita, India, Sud Est Asiatico e Estremo Oriente. Grazie agli sforzi che abbiamo sostenuto per la costruzione della nuova piattaforma digitale anche chi non potrà essere presente di persona potrà partecipare e seguire giorno per giorno la manifestazione. Crediamo in un Salone che abbatte i confini, si fa ponte culturale e acceleratore di processi virtuosi nel rispetto dell'ambiente, come nell'istallazione Design with Nature di Mario Cucinella. Avevamo dato per scontato la possibilità di sederci intorno a un tavolo e disegnare sullo stesso foglio. Tornare a farlo ci farà riscoprire quanto è sempre stato importante e speciale.

Aware of having to be a moment, a place and a tool to think together about the generative capacities of the project and the role of the entire furnishing system, the Salone returns to the presence, in its most complete form, reaffirming the value of encounter, of confrontation. , of dialogue. This is how it (re) certifies itself as a global event, the pivot of a virtuous system that has roots in Milan and Italy but is projected all over the world, generating quality, relationships, business opportunities and creative paths that have a positive effect on life. "We are experimenting with new ways of working, traveling, living. An everyday life to be rebuilt that challenges us and pushes us to reinvent ourselves. An entire sector is already working to give answers on how the spaces we live must adapt to changes. This Salone is finally the opportunity to share them. For this reason we wanted to invest in the exhibition force and the international dimension to build an event in which all the actors, companies, architects, young people of Salone_Satellite, the speakers of the thematic talks, can express themselves at better in a collective project. 27% of our exhibitors are foreigners, we expect thousands of visitors from Europe, the United States and Canada, but also from Saudi Arabia, India, South East Asia and the Far East. Thanks to the efforts we have made for the construction of the new digital platform, even those who cannot be present in person will be able to participate and follow the event day by day we write in a salon that breaks down borders, becomes a cultural bridge and accelerator of virtuous processes while respecting the environment, as in the installation Design with Nature by Mario Cucinella. We had taken for granted the possibility of sitting around a table and drawing on the same sheet. Going back to doing it will make us rediscover how important and special it has always been.
