TRASFORMAZIONE DELLE DUE CITTÀ ORIENTATA A UN FUTURO COMUNE.

Nell'anno della Capitale Italiana della Cultura 2023, Bergamo e Brescia avviano il racconto della trasformazione delle due città che, seppur diverse nella storia e nella forma urbana, compongono un disegno orientato a un comune futuro.

Con la prossima inaugurazione - il 12 Aprile 2023 - di due mostre straordinarie intitolate "Visioni per un futuro presente. Città, ambiente, comunità", Bergamo e Brescia danno inizio a un programma di iniziative che raccoglie le migliori energie del territorio, grazie a una forte partecipazione collettiva, per un'azione culturale che possa catalizzare visioni e innovazioni a favore di città vivibili e sostenibili. Città medie dentro aree metropolitane di vasta scala, in cui benessere abitativo e qualità dei servizi, rapporto con la natura e possesso di una forte identità e "differenza" possano entrare nella costruzione del futuro.

Il programma del percorso progettuale, perfettamente coerente con le direzioni degli interventi e investimenti decise dalle due amministrazioni in questi ultimi anni, è stato presentato oggi presso Triennale Milano dal Sindaco di Bergamo Giorgio Gori e dalla Vice Sindaca di Brescia Laura Castelletti, dagli Assessori Michela Tiboni (Comune di Brescia) e Francesco Valesini (Comune di Bergamo), da Stefano Baia Curioni, Direttore del Centro di Ricerca ASK dell'Università Bocconi, dai curatori Luca Molinari (Bergamo) e Alberto Ferlenga (Brescia), dalla Presidente di Ance Bergamo, da Giorgia Molajoni, Direttore Sustainability, Digital & Communication di Plenitude. Gli interventi sono stati preceduti da un saluto introduttivo di Stefano Boeri, Presidente di Triennale Milano.

Promossa dal Comune di Brescia in partnership con Ance Brescia in collaborazione con Fondazione Brescia Musei, la mostra a Brescia è curata da Alberto Ferlenga con Urban Center Brescia. L'esposizione, che si sviluppa negli ambienti dell'ex cinema Astra a pochi metri dalla Loggia, sede del Comune, vuole mostrare come le città, per quanto riguarda la loro forma visibile, abbiano una vita e specificità proprie che solo parzialmente possono essere riportate a dati economici, demografici o sociali. Un "ritratto" di come la storia e i caratteri della città abbiano contribuito alla costruzione della sua condizione attuale, come lavoro, natura e cultura abbiano sempre fatto parte della sua specificità, come le politiche urbane stiano, già da oggi, costruendo un futuro che dentro ogni città si delinea principalmente nel presente. Progetti, monumenti, dati, opere costruite, eventi immateriali illustrati in video, modelli, foto e progetti mostreranno come la complessità di una città sia fatta di molte componenti e altrettanti intrecci, come ogni città sia unica ma anche come i rapporti con altre città siano un aspetto fondamentale della sua storia. La partnership di Ance Brescia ha l'obiettivo di promuovere la cultura mettendo in evidenza il ricco patrimonio conservato da due città italiane che più di tutte hanno saputo rappresentare l'arte del costruito a livello nazionale.

Promossa dal Comune di Bergamo in partnership con Ance Bergamo e Plenitude, società Benefit di Eni, la mostra a Bergamo è curata da Luca Molinari con Federica Rasenti (Luca Molinari Studio). L'esposizione è un invito a scoprire la città per cogliere le direzioni per il suo possibile futuro, a partire dalla qualità urbana e ambientale esistente che l'ha sempre caratterizzata. All'interno della mostra, passato, presente e futuro dialogano insieme, riflettendo processi in atto nella città reale ma anche nei suoi territori, attraverso molteplici voci e sguardi che raccontano ricchezza, progetti e cambiamenti. Pensata come un evento pop per il grande pubblico, la mostra ha coinvolto grandi autori e produttori di immagini di tre generazioni: Gabriele Basilico, Filippo Romano e Davide Rapp, chiamati a raccontare tre momenti diversi di Bergamo, delle sue architetture, umanità presenti e visioni per il futuro. All'interno si alternano ritratti, architetture note e anonime, disegni originali, scenari futuri, numeri e domande aperte, mappe e storie capaci di raccontare la complessità della città attuale e le grandi sfide che sta affrontando. In occasione di questa mostra straordinaria, il Palazzo della Libertà di Bergamo riapre alla vita pubblica, rafforzando il centro del polo culturale e museale della Città Bassa, in coerenza con una visione che vede architettura, ambiente e comunità come i tre pilastri su cui costruire una città che sappia rigenerarsi, senza perdere il contatto profondo con le proprie storie. La partnership tra Ance Bergamo e Plenitude, in questo caso, ha l'obiettivo di promuovere l'arte del costruire, che è patrimonio storico e culturale della comunità bergamasca, raccontando lo sviluppo urbano del territorio, valorizzando il lavoro delle tante imprese che vi hanno contribuito e riflettendo sulla sua evoluzione.

Le mostre, che saranno seguite da iniziative di confronto e dibattito nel corso del 2023 (presentate nella cartella stampa allegata), sono parte del palinsesto di Bergamo Brescia Capitale Italiana della Cultura 2023.

TRANSFORMATION OF THE TWO CITIES ORIENTED TO A COMMON FUTURE.

In the year of the Italian Capital of Culture 2023, Bergamo and Brescia start the story of the transformation of the two cities which, although different in history and urban form, compose a design oriented towards a common future.

With the next inauguration - on 12 April 2023 - of two extraordinary exhibitions entitled "Visions for a present future. City, environment, community", Bergamo and Brescia are launching a program of initiatives that brings together the best energies of the area, thanks to a strong collective participation, for a cultural action that can catalyze visions and innovations in favor of livable and sustainable cities. Medium-sized cities within large-scale metropolitan areas, in which housing well-being and quality of services, a relationship with nature and the possession of a strong identity and "difference" can enter into the construction of the future.

The program of the design process, perfectly consistent with the directions of the interventions and investments decided by the two administrations in recent years, was presented today at the Triennale Milano by the Mayor of Bergamo Giorgio Gori and by the Deputy Mayor of Brescia Laura Castelletti, by the Assessors Michela Tiboni (Municipality of Brescia) and Francesco Valesini (Municipality of Bergamo), by Stefano Baia Curioni, Director of the ASK Research Center of Bocconi University, by the curators Luca Molinari (Bergamo) and Alberto Ferlenga (Brescia), by the President of Ance Bergamo, by Giorgia Molajoni, Director of Sustainability, Digital & Communication of Plenitude. The interventions were preceded by an introductory greeting from Stefano Boeri, President of Triennale Milano.

Promoted by the Municipality of Brescia in partnership with Ance Brescia in collaboration with the Brescia Musei Foundation, the exhibition in Brescia is curated by Alberto Ferlenga with Urban Center Brescia. The exhibition, which develops in the rooms of the former Astra cinema a few meters from the Loggia, the seat of the Municipality, aims to show how cities, as regards their visible form, have their own life and specificity that can only partially be reported to economic, demographic or social data. A "portrait" of how the history and character of the city have contributed to the construction of its current condition, how work, nature and culture have always been part of its specificity, how urban policies are already today building a future that each city is mainly outlined in the present. Projects, monuments, data, built works, immaterial events illustrated in videos, models, photos and projects will show how the complexity of a city is made up of many components and as many interweavings, how each city is unique but also how relationships with other cities are a fundamental aspect of its history. The Ance Brescia partnership aims to promote culture by highlighting the rich heritage preserved by two Italian cities that more than any other have been able to represent the art of construction at a national level.

Promoted by the Municipality of Bergamo in partnership with Ance Bergamo and Plenitude, Eni's Benefit company, the exhibition in Bergamo is curated by Luca Molinari with Federica Rasenti (Luca Molinari Studio). The exhibition is an invitation to discover the city to grasp the directions for its possible future, starting from the existing urban and environmental quality that has always characterized it. Within the exhibition, past, present and future dialogue together, reflecting processes taking place in the real city but also in its territories, through multiple voices and gazes that tell of wealth, projects and changes. Conceived as a pop event for the general public, the exhibition involved great authors and producers of images from three generations: Gabriele Basilico, Filippo Romano and Davide Rapp, called to tell three different moments of Bergamo, its architecture, present humanity and visions for the future. Inside, portraits, known and anonymous architectures, original drawings, future scenarios, numbers and open questions, maps and stories capable of telling the complexity of the current city and the great challenges it is facing alternate. On the occasion of this extraordinary exhibition, the Palazzo della Libertà in Bergamo reopens to public life, reinforcing the center of the cultural and museum pole of the Lower Town, in line with a vision that sees architecture, the environment and the community as the three pillars on which to build a city that knows how to regenerate itself, without losing deep contact with its own stories. The partnership between Ance Bergamo and Plenitude, in this case, aims to promote the art of building, which is a historical and culture of the Bergamo community, narrating the urban development of the area, enhancing the work of the many companies that have contributed to it and reflecting on its evolution.

The exhibitions, which will be followed by discussion and debate initiatives during 2023 (presented in the attached press kit), are part of the schedule of Bergamo Brescia Italian Capital of Culture 2023.
